After the Megahit film Madambi, Mohanlal and director B. Unnikrishnan's new Malayalam movie 'Grandmaster has now completed it's shoot and the post production works are going on in a brisk pace. This new film was earlier planned to get released by the first week of April, but as of now, it's been hearing that this film will only have it's release by April 27, 2012 mainly due to the delay in completing it's post production works.

This new film 'Grandmaster' features Universal Star Mohanlal will play a Police Officer with different mannerisms.  Priyamani essays the female lead character. It is reported by the producer that its theme is very fresh and racy with lots of variety situations. This time,Mohanlal opts for an interesting slim avathar with grey sideburns to done the role of a police office in mid 40s,who happens to be a divorcee. Priyamani is associating with Mohanlal for the first as his wife cum lawyer.This will be the first production venture of bollywood production company UTV Motion Pictures.It will be released on 27- April - 2012
