After "Rock n Roll",Mohanlal joins hands with ace writer/director Ranjith for a dream venture titled "Spirit" that has been keeping the Malayalam Cinegoers for almost 5 years.Mohanlal plays the role of an egoistic named Reghunadhan who hates to accept the lower layer of the society.Eventhough Mohanlal & Ranjith has joined hands for commercial blockbusters like Devasuram, Aaraam Thampuran, Narasimham, Raavanprabhu etc. Spirit belongs to a genre which is yet to be explored by the team. Kaniha plays the female lead and the film possess a steller cast of Madu,Thilakan,Kalpana,Lena etc.The writer of Urumi,Shankar Ramakrishnan makes his debut as a an actor in this film.The frames are handled by the veteran cinematographer,Venu.Shahabaz Aman-Rafique Ahmed handles the music department.The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner "Aashirwad Cinemas" who happened to produce Ranjith's directorial debut in Raavanprabhu.The shooting progresses at Ernakulam.it will be completed in a single schedule Of 40 days. and is expected to release through Max Lab on mid of 2012.
